Bulk Hot Water vs. Serviced Hot Water: What’s the Difference?
Serviced Hot Water:
The embedded network operator owns, maintains, and operates the hot water plant.
Bulk Hot Water:
The strata retains ownership of the hot water plant, meaning you’re responsible for its maintenance.
Why It Matters to You
Regardless of the model, the embedded network operator supplies the energy to heat the water (such as gas) and takes on the selling process and capturing the profit margins. You have no choice but to purchase your hot water from the embedded network operator. This makes it crucial to:
